Judge Juan Merchan can “save his reputation” if he dismisses the NY vs. Trump case, former President Donald Trump said in remarks outside the Manhattan courtroom on Wednesday.
“The confusion is that no one knows what the crime is because there is no crime. No one knows what the crime is. The prosecutor did not mention the crime of the moment. They don't know what the crime is. That is the problem. It is a shame. This matter must be ended immediately. The judge must put an end to it and save his reputation,” Trump said Wednesday evening.
Trump's comments came after jury deliberations began on Wednesday.
Since the start of those deliberations, the jury has sent Merchan two notes, including a request to repeat his instructions. In criminal cases in New York, juries are not allowed to receive copies of jury instructions or witness transcripts.
TRUMP SAYS COMMERCE JUDGE HAS A WAY TO GET BACK 'RESPECT' DESPITE PRESIDING 'WITCH HUNT' TRIAL
Trump is confronted 34 cases of falsification of corporate documents. Prosecutors sought to prove that Trump falsified business records to conceal a $130,000 payment to former porn star Stormy Daniels ahead of the 2016 election to suppress her claims about an alleged affair with Trump in 2006.
“The judge, who, as you know, is very contradictory and corrupt. Very, very corrupt because of the conflicts. Mother Teresa was unable to refute these charges. These charges are falsified. The whole thing is rigged,” Trump said late Wednesday. In the morning, jury deliberations began.

“The whole country is a mess, between the borders and bogus elections, and you have a trial like this where the judge is so conflicted he can't breathe. He has to do his job. … it is a shame. And I mean That, Mother Teresa could not be defeated those costs. But we'll see. We'll see how we do.”

NY V. TRUMP: MICHAEL COHEN TESTIFIES HE IS CONSIDERING A CONGRESSIONAL RUN
'This case must be dismissed by the judge. I think if the judge did that… he could regain respect. The Court of Appeal must intervene, something must be done. Think about it, the Republican Party, one of the two major parties nominates someone as their candidate and that candidate has been sitting here in a freezing cold cooler for almost five weeks now, listening to this stuff,” Trump said on May 20.
