Excuse me, Democrats. You're stuck with Joe Biden.
This weekend on the Bill Maher show, Bill asked former Obama adviser David Axelrod about the idea of replacing Joe Biden on the Democratic ticket with someone else.
Axelrod poured cold water on the idea, saying it's a “fantasy” and that Biden isn't going anywhere.

Maher quoted one of Axelrod's own past comments, indicating that he thought there was enough “talent” within the Democratic Party that could “emerge” as the new standard-bearer.
“The debate is on June 27 and we've never had one before the convention,” Maher said. “If Joe really is the bed, would that be a good opportunity to make the switch?”
“Listen, that's a fantasy I hear a lot,” Axelrod responded. “I love Joe Biden and I worked with him and I was grateful to work with him and I think he did very, very nice things as president for which history will be kind to him. That's not the question. The question is should you have run at this age, but he did run. And right now he's the Democratic Party's nominee.”
“This is not 1968 where the convention will decide. We have changed the rules. Voters nominate a candidate. They nominated Joe Biden, and he's not going anywhere,” Axelrod told Maher. “There's not a generation of older people who go to the White House and tell them he can't run. He's going to run for office and I'm sure one of the reasons they want an early debate is to keep people focused on this: the choice! It's Trump and Biden.”

Despite the concerns of Bill Maher and other top Democrats about Joe Biden, David Axelrod assures that Biden will not be traded for another candidate:
