A single mother is living the best life of her life after deciding to travel the world with her toddler during her three-year paid maternity leave.

Sarah Noack, 26, from Frankfurt, Germany, recently ended her maternity leave and quit her job.

The flight attendant became pregnant with her first child, Luana Noack, in 2021 and was told she could not work for the airline during her pregnancy.

This meant that Sarah Noack would be sent on maternity leave from that moment on.

However, she told SWNS that her company would also offer mothers the opportunity to continue on maternity leave while breastfeeding, which for this mother would last for about two years.

“The airline I worked for didn’t allow flight attendants to work while pregnant, so I still got my full salary but didn’t have to work,” she says.

“I have been on parental leave since the birth of my daughter“, she added, while “We have a breastfeeding policy where you receive your full salary while you are breastfeeding.”

Sarah Noack decided to use her free time to travel around the world with her newborn daughter.

“I wanted to live an adventurous life and have a child,” she told SWNS.

The single mother took her two-week-old baby to Barcelona, ​​Spain, to begin her travel adventure.

From there, baby Luana Noack took her first steps on a beach in Bali and spoke her first words in Indonesia, an experience her mother called unforgettable.

While traveling full-time with a newborn may sound difficult in theory for many, Sarah Noack says she actually finds it easier than “a normal routine in Germany.”

She said, “Backpacking wasn't difficult with a baby because she was so small, [but] it's getting harder now [that] She grows bigger and starts running around.”

The couple have now visited 17 countries in the first two and a half years of the toddler's life.

The mother of one, who is now a freelance social media manager, told SWNS the couple spent a month in Thailand, two months in Portugal and three weeks in Cambodia, to name a few places.

Sarah Noack said her favorite country to visit was Nepal because of its rich culture.

She said: “The country blew me away. It was beautiful [and] “So different from any other place I've ever been.”
