According to a recently released defense motion regarding search warrants against Walt Nauta, an attorney with an attorney-client privilege relationship with President Trump has proposed acting as an undercover informant in Special Counsel Jack Smith's secret documents case.
Recall that Walt Nauta, a former White House employee and Navy veteran who worked as a valet for Trump and served as a personal staffer at Mar-a-Lago, was indicted alongside Trump last year.
According to the motion filed earlier this month, a Trump attorney was brought in to act as an undercover informant/source in Jack Smith's classified documents case.
“The affiliates hid information about [redacted] who acted as political enemies of President Trump, including an attorney who had an attorney-client privilege relationship with President Trump and then proposed to act in an undercover parallel role [redacted].
Well, this seems important.
From a defense motion in connection with numerous search warrants against Trump aide Walt Nauta.
I have long suspected that at least one government informant/source is involved in this case. This suggests that the conjecture is true.
I don't know exactly what it means, but we'll find out pic.twitter.com/0Keo9yghUC

The defense motion argued that the affiliates used “attorney-client violations as a basis for evidentiary allegations, but the SCO cannot use the information it improperly collects to justify a search warrant, or as evidence against a third party side.”
Details like this will not be covered by the corporate media as they continue to insist that Judge Cannon is the bad guy here. Now you know why she wants to make this dirty case public. pic.twitter.com/BcacUcpIZx

Cannon indefinitely postponed Trump's trial over classified documents last Tuesday afternoon after the special counsel admitted to tampering with evidence.
Judge Cannon set a second set of trial deadlines to manage pending discovery and disclosure matters.
The judge canceled the trial date of May 20, 2024. It could be several months before Judge Cannon sets a new trial date.
“The Court also determines that finalizing a trial date at this time – before the myriad and interconnected pretrial and CIPA issues that remain and are pending have been resolved – would be imprudent and inconsistent with the Court's duty to to fully and fairly consider various pending pre-trial detentions. – motions before the Court, critical CIPA issues, and additional pre-trial and trial preparations necessary to present this case to a jury. The Court therefore cancels the current trial date of May 20, 2024 (and associated calendar call), to be reinstated by separate decision upon resolution of the matters before the Court, consistent with the right of defendants to a fair trial and the public's interest in the fair and efficient administration of justice,” Cannon wrote in a order reviewed by The Gateway Pundit.
Judge Cannon set hearings on major motions, including Walt Nauta's motion to dismiss for selective and vindictive prosecution.
In addition, a hearing was held on June 21 on Trump's motion to dismiss the indictment based on the unlawful appointment and financing of Special Counsel Jack Smith.
