Jeezy and Jeannie Mai have been battling it out in court in recent months.

Before reaching a settlement, the Soul survivor rapper and TV personality had an argument child custody cases – and claims of alleged domestic violence within marriage.

Jeezy, whose real name is Jay Wayne Jenkins, accused his ex-wife of keeping their daughter from him – and Jeannie responded by claiming the rapper was keeping her secret. weapons around the house who posed a threat to the safety of their child.

Jeannie accused the rapper of having guns in the house while their toddler was present and of assault.

While the sensational allegations and back and forth between the two seemed to suggest their divorce would drag on for months, the ex-couple surprisingly came to an agreement.

Jeezy and Jeannie further agreed to have their case placed under seal, meaning details about the custody and support conditions for their children, as well as any spousal support or property matters, would remain hidden from the public.

The shocking move comes after Jeezy filed a motion to change the law reject their mediated agreement back in mid-May.

The rapper claimed he fulfilled his side of their deal after agreeing to a child custody schedule and parenting time, but claimed his ex didn't do the same.

Jeezy claimed that their daughter had lived with him until Jeannie “suddenly left the marital home” in October 2023.

Jeannie claimed she left their marital home out of concern for their daughter and her well-being.

Because the talk show host moved out of the marital home, Jeezy asked the court to terminate or modify their “Mediated Agreement on Temporary Issues Between the Estranged Couple.”

“Unfortunately, Defendant is weaponizing Petitioner's love for the parties' minor child against him in hopes that he will give in to Defendant's unrealistic and capricious demands,” Jeezy's motion said, according to the Blast.

Jeezy's request followed Jeannie's allegations of domestic violence and child neglect. The TV personality claimed she was concerned for her daughter's safety and her own well-being due to the rapper's alleged “explosive outbursts.”

In court documents, Jeannie said she “falsely believed” Jeezy's claims before their marriage “that he was a changed man, and that his past was in his past, but as you can see from the examples of abuse Mother has suffered during the marriage, which did not happen. turned out to be the case.”
