A musician at heart gave up his full-time job to travel the world on a cruise ship – and said he loved the experience.

Jack Nolan is a 33-year-old musician from Exeter, England, who started working as a musician on cruise ships in 2016.

Now, eight years later, Nolan said he wouldn't act his career change for the world, because he has been able to experience so much of what life has to offer.

“There aren't many courses where you can see so many countries and experience so much culture,” he said, as SWNS reported.

After going to school and working in plumbing shops for a few years, Nolan said he felt burned out and wanted to make a change in his career.

“I was so excited. The ships went to places like the Caribbean – and I had never been there,” he told SWNS.

Nowadays Nolan works as a musician on board the Cruise line Virgin Voyages and told Fox News Digital that it is the best of both worlds for him because of his newfound ability to see the world and his very low overhead costs.

“There aren't many jobs that allow you to travel the world and get paid. Cruise ships can take you to about three to four different countries in a week,” he told Fox News Digital.

Nolan said that even though cruise ship employees sleep close to each other, being able to get off the boat and explore the area is a great release.

'Even though we are older than that [college] students, that's it [same] atmosphere because we have these small rooms and we are next to each other.”

Although Nolan said he loves his job, he hopes to move back to the country one day because he misses his family and friends, he said.
